Is Trelawnwey's Prophecy True ?

As one may feel that Prophecie's are set to happen, But i strongly believe that this one is not true, i want to show a bit of evidence for this..

-> (from HBP chapter 23. Horcruxes ).
Harry and DD discovers about Tom's Horcrux plan and also about possibilities of Harry conquering Voldemort. Few excerpts

............"So, when the prophecy says that I'll have 'power the Dark Lord knows not,' it just
means — love?" asked Harry, feeling a little let down.
"Yes — just love," said Dumbledore. "
But Harry, never forget that what the prophecy
says is only significant because Voldemort made it so.
I told you this at the end of last
year. Voldemort singled you out as the person who would be most dangerous to him —
and in doing so, he made you the person who would be most dangerous to him!"
"But it comes to the same —"
"No, it doesn't!" said Dumbledore, sounding impatient now. Pointing at Harry with his
black, withered hand, he said, "You are setting too much store by the prophecy!"
"But," spluttered Harry, "but you said the prophecy means —“
"If Voldemort had never heard of the prophecy, would it have been fulfilled? Would it
have meant anything?
Of course not!
Ho you think every prophecy in the Hall of
Prophecy has been fulfilled?"
"But," said Harry, bewildered, "but last year, you said one of us would have to kill the
other —
"Harry, Harry, only because Voldemort made a grave error, and acted on Professor
Trelawney's words! If Voldemort had never murdered your father, would he have
imparted in you a furious desire for revenge?
Of course not! If he had not forced your
mother to die for you, would he have given you a magical protection he could not
penetrate? Of course not, Harry! Don't you see? Voldemort himself created his worst
enemy,"..............

First thing to notice, DumbleDore himself said that not all prophecies in Hall of Prophecy are fullfilled.

It's only because of Voldemort the prophecy gained importance,

Suddenly If Voldemort & Harry comes to a understanding that they should not kill each other, what will happen to prophecy, Will it happen ?

So, we can rule out the prophecy, i mean prophecy are not set to happen.

I don't think we can completely rule out the prophecy.

1. No doubt all the prophecies are never fulfilled. Prof Trelawny herself makes zillions of prophecies, but Dumbledore onece said (after Harry's encounter with her during the divination exam in book 3) .. "This brings her total number of true predictions to 2. Should give her a raise"

So Dumbledore believes in the truth of her "those type of" prophecies.

2. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether the prophecy came true BECAUSE Voldemort heard the prophecy or not, but that she made a prediction, which came true.

But, the same DumbleDore said that not all prophecies can be fulfilled,

Also, I never said that prophey will never happen, i want to convey that it is never said that propehcy are set to happen..what if JKR decides to say that this prophecy will not happen ;-).

The story has totally started from the prophecy. I dont think it can be wrong. The basis of the whole story is the prophecy. Since voldemort heard the prophecy and 'marked him as his equal..'half the prophecy has come true then the rest of the prophecy is bound to come true.
